How Recraft sounds today, ten rewrites, fixes found while reading the site, a draft voice, a launch kit, Studio copy, naming rules and a blog plan; the demo checks any Recraft draft for facts, voice and search structure.
I read every public page, post and recent X post, then wrote against what I found.
| Takeaway | What it means for the role |
|---|---|
| The voice already exists on the blog | Posts since July 2026 are concrete, bylined and nearly hype-free. "Ten seconds is long enough to check Slack." is the house voice. The job is to carry it to the homepage, model pages, product and archive. |
| The homepage and model pages lag by five months | Taste adjectives, self-praise headings, V4 still called "the latest", three labels for one sign-in click. |
| Numbers drift across surfaces | Users read 3M, 4M or 5M+; countries 190+ or 200; the free allowance 30 a day, 50 a day or "limited". One registry and one owner fix all of it. |
| Naming needs an order before the next model | "V4.1 Pro Vector" and "V4.1 Vector Pro" both live; one chat feature has four names. A fixed slot order settles it. |
A graphic design research lab with its own models, a multi-model studio, native vector and an API.
| Area | What is public | Copy read |
|---|---|---|
| Own models | V4.1 family (May 2026): standard, Utility, Pro, Vector; V4.1 Flash (Sep 2026). API carries V2 to V4.1. | Four tiers to name consistently. |
| Recraft Studio | "All AI models in one design tool": Recraft models plus Nano Banana, GPT Image, Ideogram, Flux, Seedream; video from Veo, Kling, Sora and others. | The hub is shared with rivals. |
| Vector | Native SVG from a prompt, vector variants of V4 and V4.1, Vector Editor for anchor points. | The most checkable difference. |
| Styles | V4 Styles: a style from one reference, more references optional, no training. Shared styles on Teams. | Consistency is a second difference. |
| API and partners | From $0.007 an image (V4.1 Flash). Live on fal, Runware, OpenArt, ComfyUI, Picsart, OpenRouter. | Launch day is multi-partner. |
| Claude MCP | Connector for generating images inside Claude, OAuth, no API key (25 Sep 2026). | A new reader: people who never open Studio. |
| Date | Release | Type |
|---|---|---|
| 8 Jul | Gemini Omni Flash and Nano Banana 2 Lite in Studio | Partner model |
| 9 Jul | Vector Editor | Own feature |
| 17 Aug | Seedance 2.5 video in Studio | Partner model |
| 26 Aug | V4 Styles | Own model feature |
| 9 Sep | ChatGPT Images 2.5 and three video models in Studio | Partner models |
| 23 Sep | V4.1 Flash, then six partner platforms in eight days | Own model |
| 25 Sep | Claude connector (MCP) | Integration |
| 1 Oct | Ideogram 4.5 coming to Studio | Partner model |
How each rival sounds, read from its own homepage on 5 Oct 2026.
| Competitor | What it is now | Gap vs Recraft | How it sounds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Midjourney | V8 alpha (Mar 2026), V8.1 on web, native 2K, better text. | No native SVG, no team brand system, no public API. | Artist-collective mystique, terse, community-first. |
| Ideogram | Ideogram 4.5 (30 Sep 2026), edit stability, 2K. Coming into Studio. | Strong type, no native vector. Partner and rival at once. | Typography nerd, product-precise. |
| Adobe Firefly | "All-in-one AI creative studio", 30+ models; Firefly Vector in Illustrator. | Direct vector rival inside Illustrator; heavier, bundled. | Enterprise-safe, feature lists, "creative freedom". |
| Canva and Leonardo | Leonardo acquired 2024; Phoenix model in Magic Media. | Template-led, raster, generic generation. | Friendly, democratising, "free". |
| Figma Weave | Weavy acquired Oct 2025; node-based multi-model media generation. | Lives where designers work; no frontier image model of its own. | Calm product-design voice, "flow". |
| Krea | Krea 2 own model (May 2026), mixable style transfer. | Aesthetic range and real-time; no native SVG. | Maximalist superlatives. |
| Kittl | "AI-First Design Platform for Creators": models, editor, mockups, vector. | Closest workflow rival for print-on-demand and merch. | Cheerful creator tool. |
| Google Nano Banana 2 | Gemini image model, top ten on Artificial Analysis; also in Studio. | Best-in-class editing, free in Gemini; raster, no brand system. | Consumer-playful. |
| OpenAI GPT Image 2.5 | Top of the Artificial Analysis leaderboard; also in Studio. | Wins prompt adherence and text; raster; no style library. | Assistant-native, plain. |
| Black Forest Labs (FLUX) | "Frontier AI Lab", FLUX via API; also in Studio. | Developer-first model provider; no designer app. | Research lab, sober. |
| Higgsfield | "AI-native creative suite" for image, video, voice; hosts Recraft V4. | Video and social creators; no vector. | Hype-creator, fast cut. |
| Lovart | "World's First AI Design Agent", logo to campaign in one chat. | Overlaps brand-kit generation. | Superlative agent hype. |
Open lane: none of these homepages talks about a specific brief the way a working designer would. Recraft's newest blog posts already do.
Start with what works. These lines are live and they are good.
"Ten seconds is long enough to check Slack."
V4.1 Flash post. Names the real cost of a slow model in eight words.
"Most AI tools hand you pixels and call it a day."
Vector Editor post. A designer's complaint, in a designer's words.
"It is also a party for twelve." / "a face that has some weather in it."
Flash post. Critique with an art director's eye, short enough to quote.
| Era | Posts | Template hits per 1k | Em dashes per 1k | Median grade | Character |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep 2024 to May 2025 (SEO burst) | 179 | 5.9 | 1.8 | 12.5 | Keyword-shaped guides, 177 unsigned, "Key Takeaways" blocks, hype vocabulary. |
| Jun 2025 to Jun 2026 | 30 | 4.5 | 6.7 | 12.1 | Transition; mixed bylines, heavy dashes. |
| Jul 2026 onward | 33 | 1.5 | 0.2 | 8.7 | All bylined, concrete, named rivals, FAQ blocks. The voice to scale. |
Lint by a deterministic rule engine (template openers, filler, hype, AI vocabulary, antithesis, dash stacks). Grade is a readability estimate.
Disciplined and plain. Formats repeat: style drops, creator reshares, partner availability, head-to-heads. Room to grow: 22 of 59 originals use an em dash, "endless" appears 9 times, and one post used Unicode math-bold, which screen readers spell letter by letter.
| Surface | Live example | Read |
|---|---|---|
| Homepage headings | "Exceptional prompt understanding", "Built-in aesthetic mastery", "Unmatched vector generation" | Four of five headings are self-praise; one ("Consistent styles without training") is a checkable fact. |
| Homepage hero | "good images aren't just accurate. They're evocative." | The setup-and-knockdown shape the JD wants gone. |
| Current blog | 46 compressed foils in 33 posts, e.g. "Recraft treats style as an asset, not a setting." | The one tic in otherwise strong writing. Some carry information; many only set up the next half. |
| 2024 to 2025 archive | "stunning" 149, "empower" 258, "revolutionary" 181, "seamless" 256 (32 legitimate "seamless pattern") | Still indexed, still read, and carrying stale numbers (§04, §09). |
| Product UX | "Continue", "Upgrade to Basic", "Message support" | Plain and functional. The issues are consistency (§07). |
Ranked by how many people read them. Rules: no long dashes, no setup-and-knockdown, no hype words, every claim checkable.
| Surface | Current line | What is weak | Rewrite |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 · Homepage subhead | "Every generation comes out art-directed, atmospheric, and stylistically alive, because good images aren't just accurate. They're evocative." home | Knocks down a claim nobody made; three adjectives nobody can check; "every generation" breaks on the first bad output. | Recraft models choose the composition, light and palette, so a short prompt still comes back art-directed. |
| 2 · Homepage H1 | "tastefully crafted AI image models" home | Self-praise plus a pun on the name; "AI image models" is every rival's category label. | Image models that art-direct. |
| 3 · Hero CTA | "Get API" home | Ungrammatical; the link opens docs where you create a key. | Get an API key |
| 4 · One click, three labels | "Try Recraft Studio", "Start creating", "Try it free", all to /auth/login home | Three verbs for one destination; only "free" carries information, and it sits furthest down. | Try Recraft Studio free (all three places). |
| 5 · Feature heading | "unmatched vector generation" home | A superlative hiding the most distinctive, testable claim on the page. | Prompt in, editable SVG out. |
| 6 · Studio H1 | "One canvas. All AI models." studio | "All" is untrue; Free is Recraft models only, so a free user meets the gap on day one. Searchable names are missing. | Recraft, Nano Banana, GPT Image, Kling and Veo on one canvas. |
| 7 · About H1 | "Premium image generation and editing tool. A revolutionary AI model that thinks in design language." about | A tool, then a model, in one heading; "premium" and "revolutionary" are unverifiable. The careers page says it better. | Recraft is a graphic design research lab. We build image models and the studio to use them in. |
| 8 · Pricing, Free card | "For exploring AI features at a basic level. Personal use only." + "Limited free credits" pricing | Vague, and it hides the daily number three other pages quote. The least informative page about price. | Try Recraft models on personal projects. Credits refresh every day, and your images are public. |
| 9 · Sign-in legal line | "By continuing, you agree to our Terms of service, and Privacy policy." sign-in | Stray comma; the footer calls the same documents "Terms & Conditions" and "Privacy Policy". | By continuing, you agree to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. |
| 10 · /generate H1 and intro | "Create stunning designs" / "... from logos, t-shirts, and web designs in a matter of seconds. Unleash your creativity with ease!" generate | Stock words; a from-to range with no "to"; "web designs" is missing from the formats below. | What are you making? / Choose a format below and start with prompts and styles made for it. |

| Finding | Where and what | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Cyrillic letter in the nav | Top nav on the homepage and Studio: Use сases, where the "с" is Cyrillic U+0441. | Retype with a Latin c. Search, screen readers and translation tools read a different word. |
| About page grammar | /about: "including generation images", "with unique graphic design generator", "making the product essential, daily tool", "from most innovative companies". | "generating images", "with a unique", "an essential, daily tool", "from the most innovative". |
| Article and casing | /ai-image-generator: "Use a leading ai models for image editing". | "Use leading AI models for image editing". |
| GTP for GPT | ChatGPT Images 2.5 post: "predecessor GTP model"; external models docs: "GTP Image 1.5" three times. | "GPT". Add partner model names to a spelling list. |
| V4 still called the latest | /ai-models/recraft: "V4 as the latest and most capable generation"; /ai-image-generator: "Introducing Recraft V4"; /ai-models: "the top model"; /ai-vector-generator meta: "Powered by Recraft V4." while its body says V4.1. | Point to V4.1 and the V4.1 Flash tier. Same pages' nav already says "Introducing Recraft V4.1". |
| A retired feature still sold | /ai-models/recraft: "Use Exploration Mode to generate multiple visual directions". Docs: "Exploration Mode is now retired." | Remove the line, or replace it with Flash plus Refine for exploring directions. |
| Free allowance, four answers | Pricing: "Limited free credits". /ai-vector-generator: "up to 30 generations per day". /professional/graphic-designers: "30 credits per day". 16 older posts: "50 free credits available daily". | Publish one daily figure on the pricing card; update the 16 posts. |
| "Save 20%" on annual | Pricing toggle: "Pay annually (save 20%)". Basic is $12 monthly vs $10 annual: 16.7%. | "Save up to 20%", matching the docs. |
| Teams annual line | "$18 per month per seat, billed annually $211". $18 × 12 = $216; $211 is $17.60 × 12. | Show $17.60, or show only "billed annually $211". |
| Teams 8,000 row swapped | Paid plans docs: "$70 per month (monthly) or $88 per month (billed annually)". Every other row is cheaper annual. | Swap the two prices. Also unify "2000" and "2,000", "16000" and "16,000". |
| Two refund rules | Pricing FAQ: no credits used since that payment, or under 30 credits in total. Docs FAQ: under 30 credits lifetime, payment in the last 30 days, cancel first. | One policy text, one owner, quoted in both places. |
| Flash speed context | Flash post meta: "1.3 seconds from prompt to image in Recraft Studio". Same post's FAQ: "about 1.3 seconds with the API". | Say "via the API" in the meta, the homepage banner and partner copy. |
| A market-wide vector claim | /ai-image-generator: "Recraft is the only AI image generator that produces truly editable vector files from a prompt." | Use the defensible version from /ai-models/recraft: the only models in Recraft Studio with native vector output. |
| Sitemap misses the new blog | 31 of 33 posts since 1 Jul 2026 are absent; newest entry 14 Sep. 306 of 319 <loc> values carry spaces; no <lastmod>; 6 entries return 404. | Regenerate from the CMS with lastmod, trimmed URLs and only 200 pages. |
/ai-image-combiner is 404 | Linked as "AI image combiner" from 23 pages, including every /ai-models/* page, and listed in the sitemap. | Restore the page or remove the card. |
/mcp is 404 | "Model Context Protocol" link in How to Generate Images in Claude (25 Sep 2026). | Point it to the MCP docs page. |
| Pricing page metadata | /pricing has no H1, is in no sitemap, and its meta description never mentions price or plans. | H1 "Recraft pricing"; meta naming Free, Basic, Pro and Teams. |
| Typos in docs and posts | "backgrond" (background tools docs), "comparisions" (ImagineArt post), "thet", "needeed", "projectd", "modifing", "compres sed", "1,5 million". | Batch fix; add a spell pass to publishing. |
The same fact, as each surface states it today.
| Surface | Wording | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Careers (all 6 postings) | "Over 3 million creators across 190+ countries" | Live, Oct 2026 |
| About | "over 3 million users across 200 countries", "more than 350 million images" | Live; both match Sep 2024 figures |
| Pricing update post | "Recraft now has 3M+ users" | Sep 2024 |
| Series B release | "With more than 4 million users" | 5 May 2025 |
| LinkedIn company page | "5M+ creatives and teams" | Live, Oct 2026 |
Suggestion: one facts file (users, countries, images, model names, plan prices, free allowance) with an owner and a date. Every page pulls from it; a quarterly check flags drift. The demo runs this check against any page.
Built from the July 2026 blog, which already sounds like a designer. Each "before" is a live line.
| Principle | Before (live) | After |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · Name the decision the model makes | "art-directed, atmospheric, and stylistically alive" | Recraft models choose the composition, light and palette, so a short prompt still comes back art-directed. |
| 2 · Lead with the checkable fact | "Unmatched vector generation" | Prompt in, editable SVG out. |
| 3 · Write from the session | "Create stunning designs ... Unleash your creativity with ease!" | Flash generated exactly seven carrots, which is the whole brief. (Their own Flash post already does this.) |
| 4 · Say it once, as a positive | "Recraft treats style as an asset, not a setting." | Save a style once and reuse it across the whole series. |
| 5 · Scope every claim, and date it | "The fastest model on the market" | 1.3 seconds from prompt to image via the API, measured 21 Sep 2026. |
SVG, paths, anchor points, layout, brief, reference, series, palette, crop, lettering. Numbers with a unit and a date. Model names in the fixed order (§08). Second person. Sentence case for headings.
stunning, seamless (except "seamless pattern"), empower, revolutionary, unleash, elevate, effortless, game-changer, magic, endless, unmatched. Stacked "-ready" captions. "Aren't just X. They're Y." Long dashes. Unicode bold.
| Channel | Register | Shape | Keep or change |
|---|---|---|---|
| X | One number, one image, one action. Studio voice at its shortest. | About 28 words; link in the first reply. | Keep "↓". Drop em dashes and math-bold. |
| The reason a team or API buyer should care. | Three short paragraphs, one cost or time figure. | Add the API price and the method link. | |
| The image leads; the caption says what was asked for. | Carousel with side-by-sides; prompt in the caption. | Credit the creator in the first line. | |
| YouTube | Task-first: what you will be able to do. | Title as a task; first two lines answer it; chapters. | Titles carry the model name in fixed order. |
| Discord | Release notes for regulars. | What changed, where it is, cost, known limits. | Ask where it breaks. |
| Studio UX | Verb plus object. Quiet. | Buttons under four words; sentence case. | One label per destination (§07). |
| Blog | A designer with a byline and an opinion. | Answer first, question headings, FAQ, date. | Keep the voice; cut the reflex foil. |

| What the data shows | Detail |
|---|---|
| Archive carries stale facts | 16 posts: "50 free credits available daily"; 27: "Basic, Advanced, or Pro"; one: "Pro plan, at $48 per month"; 7 titles still say 2024 or 2025. |
| Thin availability posts | "ChatGPT Images 2.5 Is Now in Recraft Studio" (161 words), "Seedance 2.5 Lands in Recraft Studio" (146). They compete with the partners' own announcements. |
| Title case drifts | "How to Design a Poster With AI" vs "How to Restore Old Photos with AI"; "vs." vs "vs". |
| Index pages under-described | Blog index title is "Blog"; About is "About"; homepage has 4 identical H1s, one per breakpoint. |
| Weeks | Move | Measure |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 2 | Fix the sitemap: all live posts, lastmod, trimmed URLs, no 404 or 301 entries. | Indexed count of July to October posts. |
| 2 to 6 | Triage the 147-post archive: refresh posts with traffic, merge near-duplicates, retire the rest with redirects. Strip stale prices and hype words first. | Stale-fact count to zero; clicks held on refreshed URLs. |
| 3 to 8 | Comparison cluster: Recraft vs each model in Studio, one shared format (same briefs, scored, dated). | Rankings for "<rival> vs Recraft" and "<rival> alternative". |
| 3 to 10 | How-to cluster designers search for: SVG from a prompt, icon sets in one style, brand-consistent series, print with CMYK and DPI. | Clicks and Studio sign-ups from organic. |
| 4 to 6 | Merge model-availability posts into one living "Models in Recraft Studio" page, updated on each release. | One URL ranking for "<model> in Recraft". |
| Ongoing | AI-answer structure on every post: answer in the first two sentences, question headings, a dated table, FAQ, byline. | Citations in AI answers for the cluster queries. |

The demo is an independent prototype I built for this application; it is not Recraft's code. It checks a draft against a facts file built from Recraft's public pages, lints it for voice, scores its search structure and writes an edit memo. Unsolicited homework; happy to walk through any section.
